Meqë flakët janë shtrirë në një sipërfaqe të konsiderueshme brenda ekonomisë pyjore Iballe-Mëzi, u bë thirrje për mbështetje ajrore nga Forcat e Armatosura.

Aktualisht, helikopterët po përpiqen të kufizojnë përhapjen e zjarrit dhe ta mbajnë situatën nën kontroll.

Fillimisht, zjarri shpërtheu në një parcelë me bimësi të ulët dhe indiciet e para sugjerojnë se bëhet fjalë për një akt të qëllimshëm zjarrvënieje.

Punimet e Komisionit për Punë të Jashtme të Kuvendit të Shqipërisë u ndërprenë të hënën për shkak të një debati të ashpër të nxitur nga deklaratat e Snezhana Paunoviq, ministre e administratës publike në Serbi.

Paunoviq, e lindur në Pejë, kishte përmendur spastrimin etnik në Kosovë gjatë vitit 1998, duke shtyrë deputetët e opozitës, Tritan Shehu dhe Albana Vokshi, të kërkonin llogari nga kryetari i atij komisioni, Igli Hasani.

Ish-ministri i Punëve të Jashtme, tashmë në krye të Komisionit, u përball me pyetje lidhur me qëndrimin e diplomacisë shqiptare dhe mungesën e një reagimi ndaj pohimeve të zyrtarit serb.

Tensionet u përshkallëzuan me shpejtësi, duke sjellë një përplasje të fortë verbale mes Hasanit dhe Vokshit. Hasani e cilësoi absurde marrjen e leksioneve për qetësinë nga ana e saj, ndërsa Vokshi e akuzoi se po përpiqej të mbulonte heshtjen e kryeministrit përmes një sjelljeje agresive.

Në momentin më të nxehtë të debatit, Hasani e quajti deklaratën e Paunoviqit “budallake” dhe shtoi se autorja e saj ishte njëqelbësirë e çmendur. Vokshi reagoi duke thënë se ajo është ministre dhe nuk mund të cilësohet e tillë dhe i bëri thirrje Komisionit që të mbante një qëndrim zyrtar.

Megjithëse Vokshi këmbënguli se opozita nuk do ta mbyllte gojën, Hasani i kërkoi të mos merrej me të dhe atmosfera e acaruar çoi në pezullimin e seancës.

Përfaqësuesit e opozitës në Komisionin e Jashtëm kanë mbajtur një qëndrim të fortë kundër deklaratave të ministres serbe, e cila deklaroi se Kosova do të duhej të ishte spastruar etnikisht.

Albana Vokshi, teksa akuzoi mazhorancën për mungesën e një qëndrimi të qartë kundër këtyre deklaratave, e ftoi atë të rishikojë qëndrimin dhe të miratojë rezolutën që e mban pezull prej disa vitesh, ku dënohen krimet serbe.

“Patriotizmi nuk është retorikë politike, por qëndrime dhe akte dinjitoze në mbrojtje të qytetarëve”, tha Vokshi.

Në këtë frymë opozita i propozoi Komisionit edhe daljen me një deklaratë kundër ministres serbe dhe nisjen e procedurave për dënimin ndërkombëtar të saj për shkak të evokimit të gjenocidit të Millosheviçit, propozim ky që u rrezua nga ana e mazhorances.

Deklarata e propozuar:

Komisioni për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme, shqyrtoi me shqetësim dhe revoltë të thellë deklaratat e bëra publikisht nga ministrja e Qeverisë së Serbisë, Snezhana Paunoviç, e cila u shpreh se, “po të ishte në vendin e Sllobodan Millosheviçit në vitin 1998, do të kishte kryer spastrim etnik në Kosovë”.

Si Komisioni përgjegjës për politikën e jashtme në Kuvend, shpreh qëndrimin e mëposhtëm dhe deklaron qëllimin e tij për të ndjekur këto drejtime veprimi:

1. Komisioni dënon në mënyrë të prerë dhe ashpërsisht këto deklarata, të cilat përbëjnë lavdërim të hapur të një prej krimeve më të rënda kundër njerëzimit, spastrimit etnik në Kosovë, dhe shpërfaqin nostalgji të neveritshme për politikat e regjimit të Millosheviçit, të dënuar nga Tribunali Ndërkombëtar Penal për ish-Jugosllavinë për krime lufte dhe krime kundër njerëzimit.

2. Komisioni rikujton dhe dënon vendosmërisht krimet e kryera nga regjimi i Millosheviçit dhe forcat paramilitare serbe kundër popullsisë civile shqiptare të Kosovës gjatë viteve 1998–1999, masakrat, dëbimet masive të mbi 800 mijë shqiptarëve, dhunimet sistematike, djegien e fshatrave, krime të dokumentuara nga Tribunali i Hagës dhe të regjistruara përgjithmonë nga historia dhe drejtësia ndërkombëtare si pjesë e një fushate kriminale spastrimi etnik ndaj popullit shqiptar.

3. Komisioni përkulet me nderimin më të thellë përpara kujtimit të martirëve dhe dëshmorëve të Kosovës, civilë, gra, fëmijë e pleq, si dhe luftëtarë të rënë në mbrojtje të lirisë e mbijetesës së kombit, dhe shpreh mirënjohje ndaj heronjve të gjallë, ish-luftëtarëve, të mbijetuarve dhe familjeve të viktimave, që me sakrificën e tyre kanë ruajtur të vërtetën historike dhe kanë kontribuar pakthyeshmërisht në ndërtimin e Republikës së Kosovës si shtet i lirë e sovran.

4. Komisioni vlerëson se çdo deklaratë që lavdëron, minimizon apo relativizon këto krime përbën fyerje të rëndë ndaj kujtimit të viktimave dhe nxitje të rrezikshme ringjallëse të ideologjive gjenocidale në rajon, dhe shpreh solidaritet të plotë me Republikën e Kosovës, duke përshëndetur vendimin e autoriteteve kosovare për të shpallur ministren Paunoviç persona non grata, si dhe qëndrimet e ShBA, Mbretërisë së Bashkuar dhe Bashkimit Evropian ndaj deklaratës së saj.

4/1 Komisioni vlerëson se deklarata e ministres Paunoviç minojnë frymën e bashkëpunimit dhe të mirëkuptimit ndërmjet popujve të rajonit, duke rihapur plagë historike dhe duke dëmtuar besimin e ndërtuar përmes proceseve të dialogut rajonal.

4/2 Gjithashtu kjo retorike minon rrugën e integrimit evropian të Serbisë, pasi bie ndesh me vlerat themelore mbi të cilat ngrihet Bashkimi Evropian dhe me kriteret politike të kërkuara për vendet kandidate, përfshirë respektimin e të drejtave të njeriut dhe të kaluarës historike

4/3 Komisioni i kërkon Kuvendit miratimin e projektrezolutës së propozuar nga Partia Demokratike për dënimin e gjenocidit serb në Kosovë, si shprehje e unitetit përtej ndarjeve politike në mbrojtje të kujtesës kombëtare.

5. Komisioni i kërkon Ministrisë për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme të shpallë ministren Snezhana Paunoviç persona non grata, duke i ndaluar hyrjen dhe tranzitimin në territorin shqiptar.

6. Komisioni nxit qeverinë shqiptare për të eksploruar rrugët ligjore ndaj Ministres Paunoviç, dhe referimin e saj për nxitje publike të spastrimit etnik/gjenocidit, parashikuar në nenin III, pika c, të Konventës së OKB-së për Parandalimin dhe Ndëshkimin e Krimit të Gjenocidit (1948).

7. Komisioni i bën thirrje Qeverisë së Serbisë të distancohet publikisht dhe pa mëdyshje nga këto deklarata, të marrë masa të menjëhershme institucionale ndaj çdo zyrtari që promovon ideologji të tilla, dhe të përballet sinqerisht me të kaluarën, si kusht themelor për besueshmërinë e proceseve të normalizimit rajonal dhe integrimit evropian.

8.Komisioni për Punët e Jashtme rithekson se e vërteta historike dhe kujtesa e viktimave janë të panegociueshme, se nderimi ndaj martirëve e heronjve të Kosovës mbetet detyrim moral e kombëtar i përhershëm për gjithë shqiptarët, dhe se paqja rajonale mund të ndërtohet vetëm mbi ndarjen e vërtetë e të pakthyeshme nga politikat konfliktuale e gjenocidale të së kaluarës.

9. Komisioni deklaron gatishmërinë e tij në mbrojtje të parimeve të fqinjësisë së mirë, dialogut konstruktiv dhe reciprocitetit mbi të cilat bazohet paqja, stabiliteti dhe bashkëjetesa në Ballkanin Perëndimor.

Bashkimi Demokratik për Integrim ka dalë me një qëndrim të ashpër ndaj veprimeve të fundit të Qytetit të Shkupit, duke theksuar se megjithë ndryshimet e kryera në tabelat hyrëse, gjuha shqipe mbetet ende e përjashtuar.

Sipas kësaj partie, autoritetet komunale dëshmuan se kishin kapacitet të vepronin shpejt kur korrigjuan imazhet në tabela pas kritikave të opinionit. Megjithatë, edhe pas këtyre përmirësimeve, elementët në gjuhën amtare të shqiptarëve nuk u përfshinë.

Nga BDI nënvizojnë se kjo situatë nuk është rastësi, por një zgjedhje e paramenduar për të anashkaluar të drejtat gjuhësore dhe pluralitetin etnik të kryeqytetit. Në një mjedis ku ligji njeh dy gjuhë zyrtare, lënia jashtë e shqipes në sinjalistikën publike konsiderohet si një provokim serioz me karakter politik e institucional dhe një cënim i hapur i legjislacionit.

Partia kërkon që të ndërhyhet pa vonesë për rregullimin e mbishkrimeve, duke vendosur gjuhën shqipe aty ku e kërkon kuadri ligjor dhe realiteti demografik i Shkupit.

Në reagim paralajmërohet se në rast të mosrespektimit të dispozitave në fuqi, do të shfrytëzohen të gjitha rrugët e mundshme juridike, institucionale dhe qytetare për të garantuar mbrojtjen e shqipes dhe të dinjitetit të komunitetit.

Përgjegjësia për këtë model të vazhdueshëm margjinalizimi, sipas BDI-së, i takon koalicionit VLEN, i cili me qasjen e tij të nënshtruar ka ushqyer perceptimin se interesat dhe të drejtat legjitime të shqiptarëve mund të shkelen pa pasoja.

The country’s former prime minister is accused of passive corruption of high-ranking state officials, as during his time as prime minister he used his powers and influence to favor the privatization of the “Partizani” sports complex, undertaking actions that created benefits for his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi.

Malltezi is accused of passive corruption and money laundering. According to SPAK, he illegally benefited from the privatization of the property and the change of its designated use for construction, and also gained approximately 5.4 million euros through the company Homeplan sh.p.k.

Also charged in this file are Fatmir Bektashi, accused of active corruption and money laundering, while the other two, Xhimi Begeja and Andia Pustina, are accused of money laundering.

Tirana police have successfully concluded the coded operation “Porosia”, following information gathered on the ground. The operation involved officers from the Special Force “Shqiponja”, the Operational Special Force Sector, and the Illegal Trafficking Investigation Section.

During the intervention, which took place on “Kastriotët” street, citizen Petrit Çeça, 52, resident of Fushë-Krujë, was arrested. He is known as a person with a prior criminal record for drug-related offenses.

At the moment of capture, the 52-year-old’s bag was searched. Inside, officers discovered and seized as material evidence a dangerous arsenal: two combat hand grenades, two unifying fuzes, and 600 grams of TNT.

A quantity of the explosive was already assembled with two fuses and two detonator caps ready to be activated. Additionally, six other detonator caps were found.

Albania is experiencing the last days of the African heat wave, with temperatures reaching up to 42 degrees Celsius in some areas. But the situation is expected to change significantly this week, as a cool air mass from northern Europe will bring a drop in temperatures, rain and wind to most of the country.

In a live connection for Ora News, renowned meteorologist Lajda Porja announced that today remains under the influence of extreme temperatures, with high values mainly in the lowland and southern areas.

“Today we also expect a very hot day, we are still in the build-up of the African heat wave. Many cities in the western lowlands will record temperatures from 39 to 40 degrees, while 41 degrees are expected in the regions of Gjirokastra and Berat and up to 42 degrees in isolated areas of Elbasan,” said Porja.

According to the forecaster, the high temperatures are also accompanied by tropical nights, where in many cities the minimum values do not drop below 20 degrees. The mountainous and northeastern areas will be somewhat cooler, with temperatures around 33-36 degrees.

The significant weather change starts on Wednesday, when a cool air mass originating from northern Europe will penetrate towards the Balkans. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly, from over 40 degrees to around 30 degrees by the weekend.

“On Wednesday, a very cool air mass originating from northern Europe will bring immediate cooling. From 41-42 degrees we have today, Friday will bring a maximum of no more than 30 degrees, so a drop of about 12 degrees,” she said.

In addition to the temperature drop, rain is also expected. Downpours will start during Tuesday night in the northern and northeastern areas, while on Wednesday and Thursday they will affect the central and mountainous areas, including the capital.

Friday is expected to be the most problematic, as heavy rainfall could cover the entire territory, also affecting coastal areas. Along with the rain, wind will be present starting from Tuesday evening.

This Monday, protesters gathered in front of Parliament, as they had announced a day earlier. Meanwhile, the Parliament holds the penultimate plenary session of this session, which is expected to start at 12:00.

The Municipality of Skopje has severely violated the legal obligation to use the Albanian language within a single day, even twice in a row, according to accusations raised by DUI. Recalling that the capital has bilingual status, they underline that all its institutions are clearly obliged to use Albanian in official communications.

According to DUI, the Municipality of Skopje continues to disregard the Albanian language before public opinion, citizens’ reactions, and the law itself, displaying a contemptuous attitude towards legal norms, the Albanian community, and the multi-ethnic nature of the city.

“In these circumstances, the natural question arises: where is the Inspectorate for the Use of Languages? It was precisely established to record these violations, order their correction, and impose sanctions on institutions that avoid law enforcement. Its establishment required years of work, staff, training, and institutional resources. However, today it is paralyzed by a director appointed by VLEN, who remains silent in the face of open violations,” DUI’s response states.

The silence of this inspectorate, they further emphasize, is encouraging law-breaking and turning the exclusion of the Albanian language into a permanent institutional practice. DUI forcefully demands the immediate removal of the director of the Inspectorate for the Use of Languages; political accountability from VLEN, which has usurped and blocked the activity of this institution; and an immediate legal response against all those who violate the Law on the Use of Languages and incite ethnic division and hatred.

Today, at the premises of the Basic Court of Pristina, the first hearing will be held against 21 individuals facing charges of war crimes against the civilian population.

At the suggestion of the Special Prosecution, the trial will proceed without the presence of the defendants, because the judicial authorities have not been able to locate them.

They are accused of committing the criminal offense of “War crimes against the civilian population.”

The Court has announced that, responding to the request of the Kosovo Special Prosecution, the trial will proceed in absentia, because the defendants were not available to the prosecuting authorities up to the moment the indictment was filed.

Due to extreme heat, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport announced that there will be a temporary ban today for heavy goods vehicles exceeding a gross weight of 20 tons on the country’s motorways.

According to the official announcement, the measure takes effect at 11:00 and will remain active until 17:30, as weather forecasts indicate temperatures will reach or exceed the 32 degrees Celsius threshold, which poses a risk of asphalt damage.

The ministry clarifies that this measure affects only motorways, while heavy-tonnage vehicles can continue to travel without restrictions on all national, regional, and connecting roads.

Exempted from this rule are police vehicles, public security vehicles, emergency services, and vehicles of health institutions.

Urging businesses and drivers to strictly comply with this decision, authorities ask that journeys be planned taking into account the set schedule, with the aim of ensuring road safety and protecting infrastructure.

A Mercedes vehicle with German license plates was found overturned on the road section from the Bllaca border crossing towards Skopje, claiming the lives of three individuals of Kosovar origin who had been reported missing.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia announced that on July 19, 2026, around 10:35 p.m., officers were alerted to the incident and upon arriving at the scene, they found that the car contained a man and two women, with no signs of life.

The Emergency Medical Services team also arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of the three victims.

Earlier that same day, at 1:40 p.m., a Kosovar citizen had reported at the Bit Pazar Police Station to denounce the disappearance of three individuals. According to him, the last communication with them had been on July 18, around 10:15 p.m., when they were at Skopje Airport, after which there had been no further sign of them.

This fatal accident confirms the case of the missing persons for whom family members had made public appeals for help. The authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the victims and investigations are ongoing to clarify the full circumstances of the tragedy.

This morning, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the western Iranian province of Kermanshah, causing tremors in the area near the city of Kuzaran.

So far, there are no reports of casualties or material damage.

According to the IRNA news agency, the earthquake was recorded at 07:13 local time, with its epicenter near Kuzaran and at a depth of about 8 kilometers.

The epicenter of the tremors was located about 17 kilometers from Kuzaran and approximately 65 kilometers from the city of Kermanshah, the administrative center of the province.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, while as of now, no damage to buildings or injuries have been reported.

US forces have carried out new airstrikes against Iran for the ninth night in a row, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced. According to CENTCOM, the operation aims to diminish Tehran’s capability to strike ships traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.

President Donald Trump stated that these operations were carried out as a tribute to the American service members who have fallen in recent days. “Tonight we hit them hard again, and we did it to honor—most likely—three great patriots,” he told reporters.

Trump added that he is deeply moved by the loss of the soldiers, emphasizing that they gave their lives in an effort to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He made these remarks on his way back to Washington, after attending the World Cup final in New Jersey.

CENTCOM also announced that US forces “have launched a new wave of strikes against Iran for the ninth night in a row,” while a photograph released by the command shows explosions at an unspecified location within Iranian territory.

The command stressed that the objective of these strikes is to weaken the combat means that Iran uses to endanger commercial ships and civilian sailors passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, CENTCOM had also confirmed the first casualties among US forces since the escalation of clashes with Iran in March. According to the announcement, two US soldiers lost their lives on July 17, while a third was declared missing during an attempt to repel an Iranian missile and drone attack at a secret location in Jordan.

Subsequently, the US military reported that unidentified human remains were found in the incident area, which increased the possibility that the missing soldier is no longer alive. Meanwhile, on July 19, another US soldier was killed in Iraq as a result of the explosion of munitions from an Iranian drone that was shot down. A colleague of his was lightly wounded and is receiving medical treatment.

On the other hand, Iran continued its counterattacks by striking several Arab allies of the US in the Persian Gulf region, in retaliation for the American bombings. The Israeli military told AFP that together with Jordanian forces it managed to intercept an Iranian missile that was targeting the Jordanian city of Aqaba. Bashkia e Shkupit ka cenuar rëndë obligimin ligjor për përdorimin e gjuhës shqipe brenda vetëm një dite, e madje dy herë radhazi, sipas akuzave të ngritura nga BDI-ja. Duke kujtuar se kryeqyteti ka status dygjuhësh, ata nënvizojnë se të gjitha institucionet e tij janë të detyruara qartësisht ta përdorin shqipen në komunikimet zyrtare.

Sipas BDI-së, Bashkia e Shkupit po vijon të shpërfillë gjuhën shqipe përpara opinionit publik, reagimeve të qytetarëve dhe para vetë ligjit, duke shfaqur një qëndrim përbuzës ndaj normave ligjore, komunitetit shqiptar dhe natyrës multietnike të qytetit.

“Në këto rrethana, lind pyetja e natyrshme: ku ndodhet Inspektorati për Përdorimin e Gjuhëve? Pikërisht për të regjistruar këto shkelje, për të urdhëruar ndreqjen e tyre dhe për të vendosur sanksione ndaj institucioneve që shmangin zbatimin e ligjit u themelua ky ent. Ngritja e tij kërkoi vite të tëra pune, staf, trajnime dhe burime institucionale. Mirëpo, sot ai është paralizuar nga një drejtor i emëruar prej VLEN-it, i cili hesht para shkeljeve të hapura,” thuhet në reagimin e BDI-së.

BDI kërkon me forcë largimin e menjëhershëm të drejtorit të Inspektoratit për Përdorimin e Gjuhëve; marrjen e përgjegjësisë politike nga VLEN-i, i cili ka uzurpuar dhe bllokuar veprimtarinë e këtij institucioni; si dhe një reagim të menjëhershëm ligjor ndaj të gjithë atyre që dhunojnë Ligjin për Përdorimin e Gjuhëve dhe nxisin ndarje e urrejtje etnike.

Lionel Scaloni duket se po kalon muajt e fundit te kombëtarja argjentinase. Në deklaratën e dhënë menjëherë pas humbjes në finale përballë Spanjës, trajneri i “Albicelesteve” përmendi edhe afatin kur do t’i japë fund qëndrimit të tij.

Ai tha se do të mbetet në drejtim deri në dhjetor dhe më pas me shumë gjasa do të largohet. “Dua të pushoj dhe të ndalem,” shtoi Scaloni, duke theksuar se në këto momente është thelbësore të ruhet shpirti dhe lidhja mes popullit argjentinas dhe ekipit. “Jam i lumtur për këtë,” përfundoi ai.
